About My Work

Background
My academic foundation in German and Russian languages, history and political culture began at Brandeis University. I studied abroad at the Free University Berlin and Moscow State University.
Following graduation, I was awarded a DAAD/Fulbright for research on far-left militant groups (Baader-Meinhof/RAF) and an International Parliamentary Scholarship from the Deutscher Bundestag.
For two years, I lived in Berlin, Germany working as a parliamentary as a "Abgeordnetenassistentin" (deputy assistant) in the federal ministry of culture and media.
Later, I earned an M.A. from the New School for Social Research, where my work focused on cultural theory, historical memory and the intersection of politics and identity.
